Wenatchee Ave. Suite 210 Wenatchee, WA 98801 Pre-requisite: Completion of 40-hour Basic Mediation Training The Wenatchee Valley Dispute Resolution Center (WVDRC) is offering a Resolution Washington approved 20-hour Family Mediation Training (FMT) course in August 2022. This 20-hour advanced training prepares Dispute Resolution Center mediators for the increased complexity of mediating family conflict and negotiating divorce, parenting plans, and property divisions. The WVDRC offers this course for anyone who: • Is completing practicum to become a certified volunteer mediator with the WVDRC. • Wants to learn more effective ways to deal with family conflict at work, at home, or in the classroom. • Is in the legal, counseling, human resources, or education field and needs relevant professional training specific to family issues. Our FMT is an interactive learning experience offered over 3 days (August 19 -21, 2022). Course materials are provided. The registration fee is $250 per person. For WVDRC mediators-in-training who have completed at least 4 hours of observation, registration is $200 per individual.
