Found red eared slider

Found red eared slider moving through our backyard. Fish and game, Washington conservation office, department of agriculture and animal control told me to euthanize the turtle. I don’t have the heart yet we were told we could not release it either as our water is a salmon run and since it’s an invasive species it will decimate the natural habitat. We know nothing about reptiles and it’s not our thing but we’re not ok with killing it. If anyone has any resources or proper facilities for taking care of a turtle, I’d much rather give him to you and she/he can get what they need and live out it’s life not killing local salmon fry.
