Event Description:On Friday, August 5th, join us for a special screening of “DeRosa: Life, Love & Art in Transition” and celebrate its launch on Revry, a global LGBTQ+ streaming platform! 🎬 Directed by Ohio filmmaker Angelo Thomas, this award-winning documentary chronicles the extraordinary life of artist Felicia DeRosa, who came out as transgender at the age of 41. With her life, marriage, and career potentially at risk, Felicia embarks on a journey towards authenticity and self-acceptance. Please note: This film contains depictions of suicide, sexual assault, and domestic violence, and may be difficult for some viewers Run of Show:5pm: Pre-screening cocktails (credit/debit bar)7pm: Documentary begins8pm: Q&A with activist, artist & film subject, Felicia DeRosa, educator, writer, & Felicia's spouse, Gwen DeRosa, and director & filmmaker, Angelo ThomasParking: Our parking lot, between the Center and the Garden, can hold 15 cars, but will be a first-come-first-serve resource, as we have staff plus day-to-day traffic. Folks who find a spot in our lot do not need to worry about paying – we own the lot and only tow if cars are left for more than 72 hours. For anyone who cannot find a spot in our lot, there is a metered lot directly across High Street, between Magnolia (the record store) and BrewDog. Our parking lot can be accessed via N.
