J Liz Events is partnering with local businesses, city officials, and mental health clinics to organize the first Positive Vibes Only Outdoor Comedy Festival designed to promote mental health awareness while also providing crisis management resources and information to the citizens of Petersburg, VA. On the big stage we will feature Novelty acts for kids (magicians, dancers etc.), Improv Troupes, Live Musical Performances and Stand Up Comedy from Virginia's top comedians headlined by Micah “Bam Bam” White. In between acts we will feature inspirational speakers to talk about the importance of mental health and there will also be booths set up around the festival with mental health professionals and crisis management information. Our Mission is To provide the citizens of Petersburg with a day of free fun and comedy while raising awareness to mental health. Our Vision is A city of positive minded families coming together in unity for fun, love and PEACE while recognizing the mental health challenges we are faced with and the resources that are available.
