Bridges Out of Poverty Training

This training helps you learn the language and "hidden rules" of different socioeconomic classes and to recognize community and workplace practices, ideas, and beliefs that create barriers for people experiencing situational and generational poverty. You will be given tools to better understand those who are experiencing poverty, identify and implement practices that can reduce barriers for upward mobility, and help you become more effective in offering support to others. This 2.5-hour Bridges Out of Poverty training is required for Circles Allies, Circles Staff, and Circles Team Members. Attendance is encouraged for other Circles volunteers too. All Bridges trainings are open to the public and free of charge. Please log in on time. If a minimum number of attendees have not registered, the event will be canceled and a notice sent out the morning of the training.
