Location: Chicagoland, IL Division: Road Runner RR-IL-CHI-ADESA-DRIVER #186S Job Scope: The local flat bed driver will be responsible for pickup and delivery of vehicles when needed on a 3-car flat-bed hauler. This person will also drive passenger vans for shuttling when not needed to haul cars. Job Responsibilities: Drive passenger vans for shuttling when not needed to haul cars Work in various roles on the lot when needed Operate flat bed and load and unload in a safe manner in compliance with all applicable company policies Conduct vehicle loading on flat bed Complete all required documentation associated with vehicle transport or service Assist customers and coworkers as needed Drive assigned vehicles through auction lanes on sale day, if necessary Drive vehicles to and from auto auctions and dealerships, if necessary Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed including inflating tires or jump-starting vehicles using a battery box and air tank if necessary Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: · Knowledge of the Chicago, IL and surrounding areas Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required. Successful completion of background check and drug test Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast paced and team-oriented environment. Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
