NRA FIRST Steps Orientation - Semiautomatic Pistol is an Instructor-led class that familiarizes students with the key aspects of popular semiautomatic pistol operations and safety. Areas of focus include major components and action, proper loading and handling, improved marksmanship techniques, cleaning and storage, popular options, choice of optics, and more. The goal is to instill confidence and competence in new semiautomatic pistol owners who may be unfamiliar with this modern, sophisticated personal firearms.
The course provides approx. 4-5 hrs. of classroom presentation, plus an optional 1-hr demonstration/practice session at a local gun range. Additional one-on-one assistance is available if personalized shooting instruction is desired. Strict firearms safety protocols will be observed at all times.
