AlexanderAbout the bottle in this event“Alexander” has a storied history. At it’s core, Alexander is a peanut butter and jelly mead. It was meant to book-end our “weapon series”, being a complementing profile to the first bottle in that series “Broadsword”. What we found was that going from making 25-ish gallons of Broadsword to 150 gallons of Alexander was no easy feat. Developing that same flavor profile took time, and a final determination was made to let Alexander sleep in barrels once we were close. Over a year later, it has now awaken from its slumber. Aged in a combination of barrels, the nose is bready, roasty, and fruity. On the palate you get jam, honey, nuts, and a TON of barrel character. The amount of complexity this mead exudes is something we could have only wished to summon, and it is a fitting finale to what wonderfully varied and well sharpened series. Bottles are able to be picked up at the Honey Pot Tasting Room in Anaheim for four (4) weeks from Thursday, 8/4 @ 5pm until Sunday, 8/28/2022 @ 7pm during regular Tasting Room operating hours in our tasting room. Bottles not picked up within the pick up window are forfeit.
