Infuse your day with a relaxing and rejuvenating kundalini yoga class , followed by a mini acupuncture (or acupressure!) treatment! (Points will be done on the hands/feet only, or the external ear depending on your preference) We will begin the session with a Kundalini Yoga Kriya which includes breathwork, movement, and mantra for calming the nervous system, releasing anxiety, and entering a state of deep relaxation. We will finish with a mini acupuncture* treatment to deepen your rest & relaxation experience. (*Acupressure also possible for those afraid of needles) **space is limited to allow time for treatment at the end of class** please sign up in advance. IF YOU’VE NEVER HAD ACUPUNCTURE WITH SINEAD BEFORE please arrive 15 minutes early to sign the informed consent waiver. Dr. Sinead’s teaching/acupuncture clinic space is located above Raleigh Raw in downtown Raleigh* (*If the door is locked, please ask the barista at Raleigh Raw to let you in and direct you to the room upstairs!) Kudanlini is the primordial energy of creation. This style of yoga aims to reunite us with our own creative power via movement, breathing exercises, mantra (chanting), visualization, & meditation. You will experience a different state of consciousness & access new dimensions of self. Acupuncture is a powerful tool for relaxation. You may experience your “energy body” and feelings of euphoria, or simply a feeling of deep relaxation. You will come away feeling grounded, centered, clear, and relaxed--ready for a beautiful Saturday. What to bring: Yoga mat (blanket and pillow if you'd like) for the acupuncture relaxation at the end. Recommended: water bottle, journal and pen for self-reflection afterward. Wear comfortable, loose clothing for floor sitting/lying. She spent the last 6 years obtaining her doctorate in San Francisco, where she also studied martial arts (WuShu/TaiChi) and dance (primarily ballet, Gaga, hipHop, and Reggaeton!). Sinead also holds a BA in Preventative Medicine from UNC-Chapel Hill. She currently teaches in-person yoga, qigong, and dance and holds a community Acupuncture & Cupping clinic in Downtown Raleigh (at the same location as this event!).
