Description

As part of its continuing exploration of the history and life of the Benton Harbor Ship Canal, the Morton House Museum is celebrating a “Summer Evening on the Canal.” This event will take place at “The Brick Sailboat,” the former site of the Robinson Marine Company and now a spectacular private residence. Attendees will be able to tour the space where luxury boats were once built (including one owned by Al Capone) and what is now a dramatic loft-like residential space, including a deck on the canal. The current owner will give a history of the Robinson Marine Company and the story of its transformation into a home. Appetizers, wine, and beer will be served. This is an event for adults only. Proceeds will support the mission of the Morton House Museum to be “The Home of Benton Harbor History.”
