Full STEAM Ahead Camp offers fun and creative camps that teaches engineering to ages 8-14. Camps were designed by and are taught by a civil engineer and teacher with 5 years of experience teaching engineering to children. Spaces are still available for our Toy and Game Creations Camp and Carnival Games Camp. Sign up through the City of San Marcos Parks and Rec Center. Register Here: Class Descriptions: Toy and Game Creations July 25-29 9am-12pm Learn how to brainstorm, research, prototype, and improve a toy or game using the engineering design process. Students will learn the basics of engineering to create their own toys or games. Examples: board game, portable miniature game, wind-up car, miniature mini golf, foosball, pinball, or whatever else you can imagine! Carnival Games Camp August 1-5 9AM-12PM OR 1-4PM Learn how to brainstorm, research, prototype, create and test a carnival game using the engineering design process. Campers will learn the basics of engineering to create their own carnival games out of cardboard. Then we will celebrate our creations by playing them!
