Construction Project Manager/Litigation Support

We are a small East County construction company specializing in new construction, re-construction, construction related litigation support, and construction expert witness opinion. This position requires knowledge of all aspects of construction planning, management, scheduling, written and verbal communication with architects, engineers, building owners, attorneys, and other professionals in building new and repairing of properties that have gone through lawsuits related to poor construction. Responsibilities: • Overseeing several projects at a time. • Working closely with homeowners, subcontractors, and other professionals • Monitoring subcontractors for code compliance, building design, manufacturers recommendations, etc. • Schedule inspections from City and County building departments • Prepare daily logs • Maintain a clean and safe project • Meeting with subcontractors for scope of work and price quotes • Coordinate delivery of some materials • Maintain a direct contact with all members of our team Requirements: • 5 or more years in the construction industry, with general knowledge of construction management • Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, products, and suppliers • Reliable transportation and tools to step in, when necessary, with your experience in construction Ideal Candidate Characteristics: In this position, you will be trained on many facets of construction law, construction investigations into defects, lawsuit development, preparations needed for mediation and trials, along with day-to-day responsibilities of construction management on new construction and re-construction projects. • You must have excellent verbal and written skills • You must be detail oriented • You must be able to prioritize tasks • Be able to problem solve and be willing to learn computer skills, as applied to cost estimating, PowerPoint presentations, defect list written reports, and computer communications writing to clients, attorneys, etc. Employee Benefits: • Competitive pay based on experience • Comprehensive medical • Training on cost estimating, legal support, investigation skills, that will all greatly expand your knowledge of all facets of construction Please send detailed resume and cover letter and a minimum of 3 references with contact information.
