Hello. I’m interested in putting together a shoegaze style project. Technical ability is less important than the ability to be creative through simple playing style and use of effects in my opinion. Goal: to assemble a group of musically like-minded people, write material and see where it goes. Playing shows is also a goal but not so important that it compromises the purity of the music. If the sound being created is cohesive and “felt” by everyone taking part, then I predict that it will head in a positive direction, wherever that may be. Ideally, a setup of two guitars, bass and drums is the idea. Open to incorporating synthesized sound as well in some capacity but it would have to fit right. I play guitar (self-taught, no virtuoso) and am currently all set on the gear front. Interested in speaking with anyone who is already set themselves or seriously intends to be in the relatively near future. Starting at square one with this. If you’re intrigued, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to share more about the idea as well as some tracks that I feel do a solid job representing it. If a project comes together, awesome.
