Superior Farms is looking for warehouse workers. Superior Farms is one of the biggest Lamb Meat processing manufactory. We are looking for employees in our Halal department. POSITION SUMMARY This position requires this person to safely and properly perform the bleeding process of lamb/goats in accordance with the process of Halal, the company’s guidelines for this position, as well as USDA rules, regulation, and requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Employee must verify that the lamb/goat has been properly stunned and is unconscious in accordance with the company’s guidelines, as well as USDA rules, regulation, and requirements. • When stun is effective, employee must assist the lamb/goat down the ramp onto the bleed table. • With the legs of the lamb/goats facing east, employee will administer a cut, using the required knife, to the lamb/goats throats. • The cut will open up the throat to expose the esophagus. Employee will administer a second cut to sever the jugular. • Employee will place an esophagus clip on the esophagus. • Notify supervisors of problems that are not resolvable. • In the case that the department is short staffed, Employee may also be required to perform the duties of a Hanger prior to primary job tasks of a Bleeder. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Must be practicing Muslim slaughter person.
