Urgently Hiring Solar Installers. Experienced Residential Solar Installer w/Journeyman's License Job description [JOB OVERVIEW] Residential solar installer with 2+ years of experience installing solar systems on homes. This candidate will work with and potentially lead a team of solar panel installers to pre-wire a home for solar, install PV solar panels on the home and install/connect all appropriate equipment on the outer wall of the home. This position requires an Electrical Journeyman’s License. [COMPANY BACKGROUND] Solstema is a residential solar panel installation company that specializes in new home construction. Solstema works with national homebuilders in select markets to install solar energy systems on those builders’ newly constructed homes throughout their developing neighborhoods. Solstema has been in constant growth, year over year, over the past few years even despite the pandemic. With new neighborhoods continuing to develop, Solstema can see a steady flow of work needing to be done over the coming years and is looking to expand their installer team with the right individuals that align with their culture of hard work, attention to detail, respect for one another and a “Get it Done Right” attitude. [Soft Skills] • Independent Worker (does not need supervision or micromanagement) • Time Management (show up on time, accomplish tasks/jobs in allotted time) • Level Headed Communicator (Able to communicate with multiple personalities) [Experience] • Journeyman Electrician: 1+ years • Residential Solar Installation: 2+ years [Responsibilities, Skills & Duties] • Transporting solar installation materials from warehouse to job-sites • Installation of all BOS (Balance of System) equipment (equipment wall) • Ability to coordinate and complete Main Panel Upgrade • Commission and Provision Solar Installations • An understanding of NEC codes • Ability to read and understand blueprints / plan sets • Be able to create Stringing Maps • Ability to work in extreme environments (i.e. hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.) • Ability to work on rooftops, climb ladders and stairs • Capable of performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time • Basic computer (& smart phone) skills required • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills • Be able to manage a crew of 1-2 others Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
