NOW HIRING: Office Clerk/Dispatcher for Towing Office Location: Mount Vernon, WA 98273 Hours of work: Full-Time, 8 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday. $19-21/hr DOE. No weekends, no nights! Join our Team! Carl’s Towing is hiring an Office Clerk/Dispatcher for our Mount Vernon location. We’re looking for someone dependable, punctual, and trustworthy, with strong organizational and computer skills. Applicants should have a friendly and confident manner, with the ability to communicate with people from all backgrounds and situations. Individuals’ bilingual in Spanish/English encouraged to apply. Duties include: Answering phones, processing and maintaining detailed Vehicle and Impound paperwork, quoting and dispatching calls, and physical management of Vehicle Inventory and Impound Yard. Data entry, proofreading and management of vehicle paper files/database, calculating and collecting times/fees, and communicating information to vehicle owners and customers. Experience required: -Ability to interact and communicate with people from all backgrounds, including law enforcement, tow drivers, Insurance companies and owners of impounded vehicles. -Strong computer/typing skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Docs Programs and database management. -Great communication skills and coordination with tow drivers, dispatchers and Supervisors. -Strong organizational and system implementation skills -Data Entry/Management: proofreading and management of data/database as well as paper files/file management. -Experience with invoicing and light bookkeeping, collecting payment for jobs/impounds/abandoned vehicle auctions. -Detail Oriented: Proofreading for accurate dates, times, rates and charges. Following company procedures for intake and release of impounded vehicles, collection of fees. Job Requirements: -Friendly, confident, and can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and ask questions for clarification. -Driving to and reporting to the Mount Vernon office daily, Mon-Fri. -Customer interaction, answering phones, communicating policies/procedures to impound customers. -Computer literate with the willingness to learn Towbook dispatching system. -Attention to Detail: Processing/maintaining detailed Vehicle and Impound paperwork, quoting/dispatching jobs, and physical management of Vehicle Inventory and Impound Yard. -Data entry, proofreading and management of vehicle paper files/database, calculating and collecting times/fees, and communicating information to vehicle owners and customers. -Self-motivated and independent, can complete work by company policy, with little supervision. -Ability to work under pressure during occasional high-volume days, IE: multiple MVA’s, Snow Days, high-volume situations. -After paid training period, ability to work independently and with efficiency. -Ability to sit AND/OR stand for up to 4 hours at a time and lift more than 25lbs. -Applicants should have a current Washington State Drivers License; and be able to pass background check as required by the Washington State Patrol (No Felonies, No Gross Misdemeanors) -Perform additional responsibilities as directed by Supervisor(s) Individuals’ bilingual in Spanish/English encouraged to apply **Applicants should have a current Washington State Drivers License; and be able to pass background check as required by the Washington State Patrol (No Felonies, No Gross Misdemeanors)**
