Apply at Job Summary: This is skilled supervisory work planning, organizing, directing and reviewing the work of employees engaged in operation and maintenance in the Bureau of Operations and Maintenance. Job duties include: • Supervise and coordinate field staff in the maintenance/repair/construction of levees, water control structures and other District infrastructure including the coordinating of equipment and materials required for all projects to be completed. Coordinate and schedule assistance to other Bureaus within the District. • Complete projected weekly and monthly work schedule for in-house projects. Discuss projected monthly schedules with Program Manager and Bureau Chief. Complete daily activity reports and other miscellaneous paperwork including ensuring that all work has a corresponding work order and when work is complete, the work order is closed out in the District’s work order system (TMA). Work orders shall include all costs associated with work including labor, equipment, materials, contracted work, etc. Ensure that all monthly equipment logs are completed correctly and promptly submitted to Fleet. • Oversee contractor’s work associated with the repair of levees, structures and other District infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or G.E.D. and five years related experience; or formal education may substitute for work experience; and a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License, Class B. SJRWMD has determined this to be a mandatory-testing position as described in Section 440.102, Florida Statutes. Any offer of employment for a mandatory-testing position will be contingent upon successfully passing a drug screening paid by SJRWMD and upon completion of a pre-employment full query through the FMCSA Clearinghouse with no prohibitions. Additional Details: Salary Range: $39,894.40 - $51,646.40 Starting salary is based on qualifications and experience.
