The Valley's finest avant-garde community music ensemble is open for auditions! As a member of the HVGO you get to work on an amazing array of music with a great group of players under the leadership of Artistic Director Joseph Ricker. The HVGO hosts well attended performances at the areas best venues such as Bombyx, Sweeney Concert Hall Smith College, Gateway City Arts and more. WHO can audition for HVGO? Guitarists of all types (electric, acoustic, classical, bass etc) playing at the intermediate or advanced levels regardless of style or level of formal training. WHAT do you have to do to audition? The audition will consist of a meeting with the Artistic Director. You will be asked to play something of your choice, but the bulk of the audition will be working though some orchestra parts (which can be given out in advance or not depending on your preference). The auditions are not scary or intimidating, just a chance for the director to get a sense of how you play. WHEN an WHERE does HVGO rehearse?
