I am a 21 year old guy who needs help and clarity. I work things out best by talking them through, and I have a lot of fits and starts, with no real clear definition on what exactly it is I want to do and where I want to go, except: I want to write really, really great songs. I play acoustic guitar like an electric and have some great compressed vocals, and I'm sitting on about seventy or eighty songs, ten to twelve of which being really good. My question is, where do I go? What's right? I want to write good, authentic music and just write a whole new album, but I also want to get my foot in the door and would feel sad and a bit incomplete letting all of the great songs I've made fade away. I am performing now and am gradually making progress and am pretty disciplined, but if anyone out there is experienced and able to help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
