Description
A Perspective On Leadership and Wellness: Chief Josh Adams is a native of Utah. He was raised in a family of five brothers in an environment of hard work and discipline. Growing up, he always thought being a police officer would be a great career but never thought he was smart enough. After watching his older brother enter the field, Josh entered the police academy and graduated in 1999. He began working for Orem Police Department in July 2000 and served as a patrolman, K9 handler, SWAT team member, narcotics officer, patrol sergeant, special victims detective, watch commander, and detective division commander before becoming the chief of police in Lindon, Utah in 2017. After 3.5 years there, he was encouraged to apply for the vacated chief of police opening in Orem and has been back serving there since November 2020. Josh enjoys reading, eating, hunting, fishing, golfing, and anything to get outside. He is the proud father of four amazing daughters, Joey, Taylor, Rylee, and Hunter, and two obnoxious French Bulldogs.
