Overview: Metal fabrication company located in Oxnard is seeking a motivated individual with packing and shipping experience. This is an entry-level role at a growing company, there will be opportunities for advancement and to learn additional skills. Ideal candidate will be generally mechanically inclined and a person with a can do attitude. Must have reliable transportation, able to lift up to 70 pounds, familiar with tape measure and hand tools, and have experience in packaging and shipping in similar role. Responsibilities: Package/pack parts for outgoing shipments; Label and package parts for outgoing shipments; Create pack slips and audit outgoing shipments for accuracy; Use computer applications to create shipping labels for parcel and freight shipments; Build wooden crates for outgoing shipments; Help in other manufacturing areas as needed. Requirements: Reliable transportation and attendance; Able to lift of up to 70 pounds; Solid written and verbal communication skills; Experience using a variety of powered hand tools like drills and grinders a plus! Position will require standing for extended periods, lifting of up to 70 pounds, and regular squatting, kneeling, climbing, and walking. Compensation: $16+ Depending on experience, plus benefits Shift: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week Perks: 50% Company Paid Medical, 50% Company Paid Dental, Holiday, Sick Pay and Vacation
