Maintenance / Facilities Worker

Come make a difference at JAX by providing maintenance support for our headquarters in Laporte. Tasks are varied and can include mowing lawns, clearing snow, removing trash and recycling, doing small repairs, assisting in deliveries, hanging signs, performing janitorial duties, and otherwise pitching in to improve JAX properties. The ideal JAX Maintenance / Facilities Worker will find satisfaction in concentrated work that has visible results. They will have exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail and will enjoy finding ways to make improvements at JAX facilities, whether it be fixing a loose doorknob or filling in a new planter. Practical experience with hand tools, small repairs, cleaning and maintenance is preferred. This position requires physical activity including frequent standing, bending, walking, and stretching. Lifting and carrying 50 to 75 pounds required on occasion, using proper lifting techniques. Pallet jack and forklift experience is a plus.
