I have a 4 year old male Catahoula that needs a new home. He is fixed and is a very loving and affectionate dog.
He does not get along well with other dogs. He is not aggressive toward them but has insecurity issues and growls when other dogs come near him. We have had him for over 2 years now and he has developed a sort of PTSD. We think he may have been shot at sometime in the past. He has developed an extreme fear of fireworks and other loud noises such as gun fire. If he is outside he will run off if he hears gun fire and is alone. We live very rural and and do not have a fenced yard(no neighbors or streets). We feel he would do very well with the right home in town where he would be indoor mostly and have a fenced yard. Also the absence of loud bangs such as fireworks and firearm target practice which is very prevalent out here, particularly this time of year. He really is a beautiful dog and would do well in the right environment.
We are asking a small rehoming fee to insure he goes to a good home.
