Original posting below!! Had some genuine interest with this; still in talks with people but our weak link is a steady, decent place to play. Let me know if you're interested at all. If we've talked or are still talking, don't worry, we're still cool. I'm just keeping the doors open. ------------------------------------------- Hey... Starting a new project of sorts that is kind of punky, kinda indie rock, definitely synth rocky. I was hoping to channel some Desaparecidos, pup, Jeff Rosenstock but I think I missed the mark. Check out the demos I just put up - https://sunlaser.bandcamp.com/releases Anyways, I'm wanting to get back into a live, collaborative band to make original music, maybe play some shows if it comes to that, etc. It's been a while since I've been in an active band and to be honest... writing/recording songs solo will just always feel like demos to me and not as fun. Things this needs: more musicians (DRUMMER, bassist, more guitar, multi-instrumentalists) & a practice space (I don't have the room in my current living situation). Also to note: I'm in my 30's, got a kid, and a job. I'm not really looking to "make it big" (although if I got the chance to hit a festival circuit I would take it...). No matter what I do in life I just keep making music and so I'm deciding I like to do it for music's sake. I've even tried to stop and it just didn't work out. I'm also not attached to the name, or the style; this thing could branch out based on member input and style. I just want to be loud and live again! Music that has influenced me during my life (but that I don't necessarily write music like): The Cure, New Order, Folk Punk, classic punk stuff, Saddle Creek OGs (Bright Eyes, Cursive, The Faint), Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem, The Replacements, Talking Heads, Alabama Shakes, Strokes, Pavement, Radiohead, Animal Collective, MGMT, Flaming Lips, Aphex Twin... Hit me up if you think we would mesh well.
