Las Brisas at River Drive is a townhome community built in the late 70’s in the heart of Tempe. The community has a self-managed HOA that is looking for assistance in coordinating and overseeing maintenance in the community. This includes the community at large as well as homeowner repairs covered by the HOA. Position Overview: The Maintenance Coordinator is a part-time contract position who will work a flexible schedule of 10-20 hours per week. This position is responsible for supporting the Home-Owner Association (HOA) Board of Directors with the timely coordination of maintenance requests by homeowners. This will involve regular communication with homeowners, the HOA Board, other maintenance staff and potential vendors or contractors. This position will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure successful project completion. This role will also involve some light maintenance throughout the community. This is an important role that contributes to the overall safety, function and look of the community. Key Responsibilities: o Track maintenance requests from community homeowners o Keep homeowners apprised of progress o Maintain maintenance spreadsheet o Cultivate new and maintain existing relationships with contractors and vendors o Schedule and conduct vendor meetings to assess feasibility of projects o Solicit bids from vendors o Participate in monthly board meetings as requested o Help maintain common areas (pools, pathways, parking etc.) Qualifications: • Working knowledge of trades helpful (landscaping, painting, etc. preferred) • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office • Ability to handle ongoing communication with multiple stakeholders Physical Work Environment: Will work both on site and from home. Will be required to meet contractors on site, perform light maintenance and work in tandem with other maintenance staff. Phone calls, emails and spreadsheet management can be performed from home.
