Description

Hi, I have a 12 year old American Bull Dog named Griffin. We rescued him when he was 2 from a friend. He has had a great life here with us. Has had multiple dog friends come and go since we got him. He has arthritis and he farts a lot. (He get's fed the same as the puppy's do currently) Purina One - Lamb and Rice At the moment I believe he weighs ~80LBS. Was probably 90 - 120 at his peak. Still eats well and has quality of life, he can see and walk and enjoys pets and treats. My last pit lived to 17 - we should have put him down at 15-16 or possibly sooner. I am considering rehoming Griffin for free, I will even pay for him to be humanely euthanized if and when it comes to that, at his vet - Intermountain pet hospital My reason and situation - I love this dog. I don't want to put him down too early if he has a decent quality of life. However, that is where I am at and what I am considering doing. I am recently separated/divorced. Right before that we bought two puppies for us to raise, an English Mastiff and a Black Lab. (Horrible timing but didn't see the divorce coming and our son is 6 and wanted a dog or dogs to play with) Now those pups are going on 6 months old and getting HUGE, I just cannot handle 3 full sized dogs on my own. I can barely do the two.. The pups mostly just annoy Griffin in his old age. He just wants to be loved and I don't think it's quite his time, he's got at least a few years left. Or I would have already put him down. Well if someone out there is interested in taking Griffin and saving him for the next few years, then shoot me an email. Please no hate, I am going through enough already, thank you. I will consider paying upfront for you to take him, but you will have to be well vetted.
