The San Diego Food System Alliance invites you to join us for an evening of delicious food and drink, casual networking, seed exchange, and live music at MAKE Projects in North Park! Meet fellow San Diegans who are passionate about reimagining our food system—cultivating justice, fighting climate change, and building resilience through food. This evening is a space to relax, connect, and enjoy community with one another. Admission is free, but RSVP is required. Food & Live Music MAKE Projects is an employment social enterprise located in the heart of North Park, operating an urban farm and outdoor restaurant where refugee and immigrant women and youth gain real-world work experience and job readiness skills. Enjoy globally inspired light bites prepared by MAKE Projects team, and live Mediterranean jazz with local musician Sergio Tala. There will be a cash bar for you to purchase beer and wine throughout the evening if you wish. Eat, sip, and explore the beautiful space the MAKE Projects team has created! Seed Swap Learn from Bianca Bonilla of Botanical Community Development Development Initiatives (BCDI) about seeds! We'll have a table for a seed exchange, so we welcome you to bring along some of your own seeds and swap them for some new ones. The more who join in, the more variety there will be to choose from! Parking & Transportation Street parking is available, and North Park Garage is located only a few blocks from the event space. ($5.00 flat rate) Bus stops are located within two blocks of MAKE Projects, serviced by the #2, #6, #7, and #10 buses.
