I feel your pain. I had the same thing happen to me a few times. These bands who claim they are professional looking for pros should really take a look in the mirror before they claim they are professional. The last audition i went to was for a really popular known band. I go out to see them perform live at a club. They were happy to see me come out. They send me the songs and i show up to the audition. They start playing the songs then the same thing that happen to you starts. Do you know this song or did you listen to this song? I said know but i will give anything a try so i go for it. The people in the band were nice but i got that vibe of this isn't for you. No problem at all. You think the leader of the band would call me to say hey listen thanks for your effort but it didn't feel right and i would have agreed with him. Till this day almost 2 months after the audition and no response at all. Some of these bands think they can do what they want and not have to be professional in return. I have a friend that calls me to tell me the so and so band is looking for a player. He gives me the number and i leave a message and no return call at all. I guess its the old who you know who you blow game when it comes to bands finding players. Really is a disgrace what these band leaders do and don't do. South Jersey is a hot bed for this behavior. The cliques are alive and well here. They can all kiss my ass!
