Seeking musicians for jamming/writing/collaborating

Hello, I figured I would just give this a try as it has been tough meeting musicians. I am looking for a couple musicians to jam, make music with and possibly play out. I am also open to connecting and grabbing drinks; and going to live shows together. I used to play out all the time but I need something that is less pressured and fun in the DC/NVA area. If we get something together I would love to begin potentially with open mics for fun; then possibly progressing to gigs. I am a guitarist but sing some as well. I have been working on writing and looking to form either a band or acoustic group. I have some songs and ideas that need to work up with a drummer or other musicians. I am also happy to jam and play covers as well. For newer music I love the Cali Reggae bands. For older music I have grown up on the Grateful Dead, jam bands, and old rock n roll like the Velvet Underground. My vocal style is more like old school Lou Reed. I will list influences if anything of this vibes with you feel free to say hello and we'll take from there. I am 40 but age is not a factor for me.
