Are you a parent, teacher, or local educator who feels helpless when it comes to school shootings and creating safety in schools? Do you feel powerless when it comes to addressing mental health in schools? Do you feel overwhelmed when it comes to handling bullying, difficult behavior, and violence? What would it feel like to have the skills to be an active, powerful role in creating safe schools and reducing the likelihood of school shootings? What would it feel like to have the knowledge to educate children to have a voice for their own mental health? What would it feel like if addressing bullying, difficult behavior, and violence in a positive, solution-oriented way came easy to you and was second nature? And how would it feel as a parent knowing you are sending your child to a school who’s educators are actively equipped to do all of the above? In the light of another school shooting, bullying, and an astronomical rise in teen suicide, we are being called together to impact community change. Children need us now more than ever. They need us to step up, to redefine what safety looks like in the school system, to recognize what’s not working, to equip ourselves with what is working, and to advocate for change. The Children Need Us Now Deep- Dive Experiential Workshops will be guided by Donna Angelou. Donna has spent the last 22 years equipping children, parents, teachers, and families with the knowledge and skills to create safety in schools. Her years of research-based solutions in creating more conscious, safe schools allows for the opportunity to learn comprehensive tools and curriculum to foster immediate change in school environments and that are proven to result in a 76% decline in difficult behaviors and a 54% academic increase.
