Join WWE Fairbanks for a scenic drive out the Steese to the Nome Creek area in the White Mountains National Recreation Area to hike Table Top. The hike is approx three miles on established trails with 360-degree views of the White Mountains from the top. There are no expectations of speed, and stops to enjoy the views are encouraged. If the group is interested, we can stop for dinner at Chatanika Lodge on the way back to town. Meet at the Bentley Starbucks for carpooling/caravan to the trailhead. Drive is approx two hours from Fairbanks. Bring layers and rain gear, bug repellent/sunscreen, bear spray if you have it, snacks and water for the day. Dog-friendly. IMPORTANT NOTES - Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified and are not guides. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly. - WWE COVID Guidelines: At Women Who Explore, the well-being of our community members and ambassadors is our number one priority. Women Who Explore has been and will continue to monitor guidelines outlined by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Practice self-awareness and do not attend if you have had any flu-like symptoms, exposed to or have been exposed to and/or tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Post-event: anyone who develops flu-like symptoms within 14 days after joining an event should contact the ambassador and Women Who Explore at [email protected]. - Liability Waiver: You need to sign the e-waiver before attending your first Women Who Explore event and annually thereafter.
