General Concrete Construction Laborer EIA Ready Mix and Construction, LLC is looking for a personable, motivated, and organized individual to join our company as a General Concrete Construction Laborer who specializes in pouring concrete at construction job sites. They set up forms to create foundations, sidewalks, swimming pools, walls, structures or pillars at construction sites anywhere from roadsides to building foundations. Responsible for designing and building concrete forms with construction machines or hand-mixing tools and mat be required to apply stains like sealants and waterproofing after finishing concrete. Ultimately, General Concrete Construction Laborer will work with other construction experts on various job sites to pour concrete and construct various types of concrete structures as needed. Responsibilities • Use wire mesh to reinforce the concrete • Spread and smooth concrete • Mold expansion joints and edges • Use stains or colors to add the finishing touch • Add small stones or other materials for decoration • Apply waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work Requirements and skills • Proven work experience as a Concrete Laborer or similar role • Ability to perform strenuous tasks with hands • Ability to kneel, bend and lift heavy materials • Ability to measure accurately and read specifications • Relevant training and/or certifications in Concrete Labor • Physical strength and stamina • Ability to lift 50lbs. • Self-starter • Positive, Can-do Attitude • Open to direct instruction • Flexibility for changing tasks and assignments • Willingness to learn new skills and attend technical training • Willingness to travel if the need arises WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF GENERAL LABOR SKILLS • Minimum of 2 years experience in general labor • Cleaning and preparing construction sites • Loading and unloading materials and equipment • Erecting and dismantling scaffolding and temporary structures • Digging trenches, compacting, and backfilling trenches/holes • Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment • Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans • Assisting skilled tradesmen in their duties • Responsible for daily jobsite clean-up • Ensure safe work environment • Interact professionally with customers, trade partners, and suppliers/vendors • Other maintenance duties that arise • Willingness to travel if the need arises WORK Schedule: Full-time. • MUST HAVE Reliable Transportation DRUG-FREE Workplace Opportunity FOR Advancement Competitive Compensation & Performance Bonuses Job Type: Full-time Pay: Start Pay From $14.00 per hour (depending on experience) Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift - may be required to work on weekends Supplemental pay Work Location: Multiple Locations Work Location: West Texas and Central Texas www.eiareadymixandconstruction.com
