SSP Industries is looking for Pipelayers with seasoned experience for our underground utility division. Up to $25 hour pay based on past or recent experience and skills in water and sewer/pipelaying. Concrete forming/finishing knowledge is a plus and the ability to operate light equipment is valued. SSP work week is Monday thru Friday with weekends off. Any weekend/emergency after hours work is paid at a higher rate. Average 10 hours per week of overtime is available. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Locate existing underground utilities by hand digging (potholing) • Install underground waterlines, sanitary sewer lines and storm sewer lines • Backfill waterlines, sanitary sewer lines and storm drain lines utilizing vibratory plates, tampers, (jumping jacks) and remote-controlled trench compactors • General labor and other construction activities as assigned. SAFETY • Promote, execute, and adhere to SSP safety program. • Wear required PPE • OSHA 10-hour safety training (preferred) but can be obtained upon hire • Attend regular safety trainings.
