Beware of these scammers

A man, a woman with a toddler/baby driving around in a very nice car. Man speaks with an accent as if he is middle eastern. Man offers to give you jewelry in exchange for large amount of money because they are stranded and trying to get to California. Mistake I made is I believed his story and felt simpathy on behalf of the baby so I give him $20 then another $20 and I told him to sell the jewelry to someone else...... ......... but I guess hopefully it was a scam because if it is true and they really are stranded, That would be an even worse situation for a family to be in. 💸
