The part time Maintenance/Janitorial person (Sexton) performs a variety of routine maintenance tasks inside and outside the buildings; performs room/event set ups, contributes to the creation and maintenance of a safe and clean working environment; performs routine cleaning, mechanical, electrical and plumbing repairs and other duties as assigned. Participates in the administration of programs for people experiencing homelessness, requiring tact and diplomacy in interactions with the public. Good communication skills and basic computer skills are required. Reports to the Director of Operations. Job Tasks Include: - Empty trash cans and replace liners - Clean and sanitize kitchen counters - Clean and sanitize kitchen appliances - Clean and sanitize restrooms - Sweep & mop floors - Maintain inventory and distribution of supplies (cleaning chemicals, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) - Keep sidewalks / parking lot / courtyard free of debris - Perform light landscaping & gardening - Prepare meeting rooms and large hall for events - Lift items weighing 25 - 30lbs. - Work may be required on some Saturdays - Other duties as assigned Please send resume via CL reply button above.
