Steel Fabrication company in South Seattle seeks a hardworking, dependable Welder. This is not an entry level position. Applicant must have experience as welding structural and/or ornamental iron work. Our company works exclusively in hot-rolled steel, specializing in structural work. Our scope of work includes structural beams and columns, canopies, stairs, embeds, and handrail. We employ both dual shield and MIG welding in our shop. Applicant must possess the following: • WABO D1.1 FCAW certification. • WABO D1.1 GMAW certification (preferable but not necessary). • Ability to read and comprehend weld symbols • Ability to perform multi-pass, structural welds. • Understanding of Pre-Qualified welding procedures. • Understand and comply with supervisors’ direction and company safety policies. • Work reasonably and safely with other welders/fitters in the company. • Be available from 6am-2:30pm, 5 days a week. • Have reliable transportation to the Seattle Area Competitive hourly wage, medical and dental benefits, paid holiday and PTO, 401K participation. This is a full-time day shift position, M-F 6am-2:30pm, with overtime at time and a half. Compensation is dependent on experience, with a review after a 90-day period.
