Description
I lost my engagement and wedding rings together, sometime around May 15. That day I was in Rogers Park, where I live, as well as down at the Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary and Beach.
Because the engagement ring has been in my husband's family for generations, I am offering a $1000 reward for them, or for information leading to me finding them. I am devastated about this loss and suffer from an autoimmune disease that makes it difficult to go looking in pawn shops.
If anyone is looking to pawn them - or has pawned them - I will give you the reward if you come forward and tell me which pawn shop I might find them at. I will just buy them back from the shop.
Description of the engagement ring:
- Antique - It has been in the family for four generations. I think it is an art-deco style, probably from the 1920s or thereabouts.
- Large-size (I think 12 or 13?) - yellow gold band with lighter colored, antique setting.
- Modest-sized central diamond is circular, I believe it is a brilliant cut or something similar. It has a square-ish prong setting: four prongs placed in a square pattern.
- Next to the central diamond, the setting has what looks like a crosshatch pattern with tiny diamonds on each side.
- The ring has been resized up from a much smaller size.
The wedding band is a plain, thin, gold band. It is rounded on all sides - almost like it were made out of a thick gold wire.
I am sharing some pictures of them - they are not great pictures, I had to zoom in, but its better than nothing.
Thank you for your help!
