This opportunity is intended to be a full time position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Light and heavy custodial/janitorial work in assigned areas, including cleaning and maintenance of floors, stairways, passageways, breakrooms, restrooms and meeting rooms. Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable material. Organize, clean and stock breakrooms, restrooms and other common areas with paper products, as needed. Provide outside landscaping and facilities maintenance, as needed. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Adhere to company policies, procedures and regulations. Enable Cashman to achieve its objective of Safely Home. Everyone. Every Day.™ by promoting a positive safety culture and adhering to all company safety policies, procedures and practices. Report any unsafe acts or conditions. Deliver Cashman’s “Best Customer Experience” for all internal and external customers on a consistent basis. Other duties and special projects as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic knowledge of custodial/janitorial duties. Basic computer skills, including ability to become proficient in company authorized software like maintenance and time entry programs. Ability to read and understand warning labels and safety literature. Ability to participate as part of a team, requesting assistance when needed. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma, GED or trade school equivalent. Ability to read materials commonly used in custodial/janitorial warehouse function. Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral form. Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required. Self-motivated and detail oriented, work with minimum supervision. Stand/walk 6 - 8 hours a day, and/or sit 1 - 2 hours a day. Frequently lift 50 - 80 lbs. Must use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation. Must be able to occasionally bend, squat and climb, including the ability to ascend and descend ladders.
