Position Overview: As a Groundsman 3 you have advanced in the Journeyman Trade range. Your skills set you aside and beyond a Groundsman 2 and move you into honing the most technical skill sets with little to no supervision. As a team member you demonstrate support and helpfulness to the entire company and our community. You are an asset to the company, and strive to move it forward. No job is too small when it comes to moving the entire team forward. Qualifications: Valid Driver’s License, acceptable driving record & reliable transportation Team player who is able to communicate and work well with others Uncompromising attention to detail Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions Ability to work in a high stress - fast paced environment Must consider safety and courtesy high priorities Willingness to learn and develop new skills Must demonstrate a skill set including and above Groundsman 2 Responsibilities Include (but not limited to): Proficient Groundsman 2 Little to no supervision Ability to enforce safety Daily oversight of employees under supervision Implements safe and proficient chipper and chainsaw operation and maintenance daily Communicate proficiently with managers / leads about jobs and problems Attention to detail on all tasks designated by crew lead and managers Ability and motivation to take ownership of complex tree removals / pruning Advanced knowledge of tree felling, pruning equipment, chainsaws, chain sharpening, chipper operation and other power tools Ability to assist and understand ropes and rigging performed by tree climbers Knowledge of and the ability to operate, maintain and transport mini skid
