We are looking for adults 18 years or older who have a skin tone that matches 1, 5, and 6 on the Fitzpatrick scale. (See image above). Please do not apply if you do not match those fitz numbers. You will be turned away on location if your fitz does not meet the requirements. For the study you will be asked to watch an instructional video on a tablet, repeat after phrases and move your body in certain motions. Examples include but are not limited to: waving at the camera, pretending to have a video chat with a friend, moving your head in a circle, and reading phrases out loud as if you were commanding your Amazon Alexa device. "Device, what is the weather today?" The testing is recorded as raw video and audio data and is used for the engineering of technology only. The information recorded before and during the study will not be used for any other purpose. The studies will take place on Tuesday for the duration of 60min and pays $100 each via check written out to your legal name. When signing up for the study, please use your legal name as that is what will be printed on your check. Masks are now optional at Robot Monster. We no longer require masks to be worn at our studies. We DO ask that all individuals to be FULLY VACCINATED. This study is for NEW PARTICIPANTS ONLY! If you have participated in a Robot Monster Study in 2020, 2021 or 2022 - you do not qualify. If you sign up and do not qualify, your session will be cancelled or you will be turned away at the location. Our Thursday study takes place at an our studio located in The Dogpatch, SF YOU MUST BE VACCINATED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN STUDY. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION UPON ARRIVAL.
