Description

I have an approximately 3yr old, 6lb spayed female chihuahua ready for Rehoming. She is current on all vaccines: distemper/parvovirus, bordatella, leptospirosis, and rabies all current. She is on proheart for heart worm prevention which is also current. She has had full blood work tests and is as healthy as can be. She is microchipped. She does well with large dogs, small dogs and cats. She is decently leash trained, but won’t stay at a heel, she likes to run and explore too much. We are still working at a soft mouth with treats. She is crate trained. She is not a barker (thank goodness) She will use a potty pad in the house. She loves to crawl under a blanket and snuggle, run in the grass and enjoys the water and car rides. I rescued her, invested in her through getting her spayed, fully vetted, exposed to as many situations as I’ve been able, and done what I can to get her training started. She is ready now to find a forever home with the right person/family. What I think would be her ideal situation. l: a person who is at home during the day who wants a dog to keep them company. She is so happy snuggling up under a blanket and will lay next to you all day and night. Or 2: A person that likes to take their dog with them on adventures and doesn’t have a really loud/ partying home environment. The things she needs work on: -she has anxiety and gets nervous (she is a chihuahua) but she doesn’t bite/nip or get protective of things/ people. She is incredibly sweet and loves people. She is nervous about letting people pick her up. -the tip of her tail is broken. It can’t be fixed but doesn’t bother her either. The vet said there is nothing to worry about. You can feel it though. -if left alone unkenneled she may have an accident on the floor -she can have a sensitive stomach. Measuring her food and not giving people food should be the answer. I give her Royal Canin Chihuahua dry food and 500.00 rehome fee applies. Please have vet reference and proof you can have a dog where you live. She will come with her crate, some pee pads, harness, collar and leash as well as some sweaters, dishes and a couple toys ( she wants to play but doesn’t really know how to do so with toys…) and her bed. I will also include a couple cans of prescription food that is easy on the stomach to help with her transition to her new home.
