The Family Truck is looking to add a musician or two to the band. We play really fun music. The band can be described loosely as a "country-blues" band. However, someone once said our sound is like "Country on the Beach", which may be a little more accurate. We play some original songs plus songs made famous by Ernest Tubb, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzel, Elvis Presley, Beach Boys, Conway Twitty, Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, The Grateful Dead, Tom Waits, and others. If you play any one or more of the instruments below, I'd sure like to know you. And maybe you can come out and see if you like playing with us. Fiddle / violin Mandolin Resonator guitar / dobro Lap Steel / pedal steel Tenor banjo Harmonica / Harp Piano / Rhodes We rehearse every other Tuesday night in Lincoln and have a songbook you can use to get familiar with the songs. You'll find most of them are fairly simple and played in common major keys. We have one gig on the books for September. We plan to gig about once or twice every two months.
