I want to build permanent housing for the homeless but need help

Hi, my name is Christian, I’ve been doing sustainable construction for over ten years now. Mostly building my own house, greenhouse and various buildings on my property. I’m young and a recent graduate from unm. I have a dream of building a self sufficient community that I’ve been actively persuading for many years now. But, after nearly working myself to death in 2020 (heat stroke) I took a huge setback and came to the realization that I can’t accomplish the enormous task on my own. I originally wanted to do a sober living home that provides housing and work for people in recovery. I have gone through the ropes of addiction as a teen and have lost or seen many friends fall deep into the pits of addiction. The sober living homes they have now look good on paper but are at the heart just a business more driven by profit (500 dollars a mouth for a shared bedroom is not right). After seeing the increasing homeless populations and the growing debate from the public about what to do about it. I got an epiphany that I should try to tackle this problem first. I know all about Earthship construction, straw bale, cob and others alternative building. I’m trying to get funding to buy a peace of property and start building tiny homes focused around sustainable construction methods. I also have been growing mushrooms for over ten years and want to incorporate a farm into the community. The goal is to teach the homeless to build tiny homes and run a farm. I would start off small with one shelter and let someone stay there. Build another and another and slowly build it up to where it needs to be. I have been thinking and researching this quite a bit. I have been outlining the fine details like where it would need to be, what kind of zoning would be needed, insurance, would the homeless have to be sober to stay there… I don’t want to make this post any longer, if anyone reads this and has any ideas on how I could get funding to do this I’d love to hear from you.
