AboutEach month, DC Department of Parks and Recreations' Environmental Division provides free Seed Subscription Boxes for DC residents. The mission of the Seed Subscription Box Program is to increase access to organic gardening and healthy food for as many residents as possible. We are looking for Earth Day Every Day Community Ambassadors, a registered DPR Volunteer to join our Team with assembling Seed Subscription Boxes. are filled with gardening resources, including but not limited to: potting soil, seasonally curated seeds, and information about DPR Environmental Programs and gardening facts. Earth Day Every Day Community Ambassadors are welcome to receive a Seed Subscription Box on volunteer day 4. Volunteer sessions last up to two (2) hours, from 11:30am to 1:00pm on appointed dates, inside of the Lederer Youth Gardens' Greenhouse 5. No gardening experience is required - just collaborative and positive energy :)
