Spend two hours in a safe and inclusive environment learning how to make effective self-defense techniques work naturally with your body. All bodies and all orientations are welcomed, and no prior skill or experience is required. In this workshop, we’ll focus on escaping from common restrain and control methods. We will also cover self-defense mentality and key ideas for personal safety. Students will learn how to use leverage, biomechanics, and knowledge of human anatomy to protect themselves, regardless of body attributes, athleticism, and strength. Dress for movement and bring your questions, curiosity, and water.
For the safety of the participants, we are requiring all participants to be masked during the workshop, regardless of vaccination status. We will have opportunities for mask breaks as needed. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at [email protected].
