We have been invited to partner with the Louisville Zoo on Saturday August 27, 2022 for their Brew at the Zoo event! We are seeking 25 volunteers who can commit to volunteering from 2-9:30 PM. Our goal is to have 25 volunteers commit to this event so the Louisville Zoo can donate $1,500 back to Change Today, Change Tomorrow for you all's hard work! About Brew at the Zoo & Wine Too! Guests will enjoy delicious tastings from craft breweries, wineries and local restaurants, along with animal encounters and live entertainment. All proceeds benefit The Louisville Zoo in caring for the animals and in educating people about animal conservation. Brew at the Zoo & Wine Too 2022 will take place on Saturday, August 27th. Volunteer Overview: ● We are asking groups to recruit volunteers who will work the entire shift (2:00pm- 9:30pm). ● Each participating organization will receive a $1,500 donation per 25-person group ($60 per volunteer). ● At the event, volunteers will assist with set-up, pouring beer/manning bar stations, and clean up (see volunteer duties below). ● Each group must sign a volunteer agreement stating that they are responsible for providing volunteers for the entire length of time, and will not consume any alcohol prior to/during the event. ● Volunteers must be 21 years or older. Volunteer Duties: ● Leads attend volunteer orientation/training prior to event ● Assist with setup of bar areas - Distributors & other volunteers will be there to help ● Be knowledgeable of beers that you are pouring - a "cheat sheet" will be provided ● Be able to answer simple questions patrons might have - i.e. location of bathrooms, details about food stations, etc. ● Never leave bar station unmanned unless alcohol has been put up or secured ● No consumption of alcohol during your shift ● Boxed lunch, water, and other nonalcoholic beverages will be provided to volunteers ● Keep bar station neat ● A ticket must be collected from each patron before a beer is served ● Report any individuals that appear to be over served to organizers or staff ● Help clean up your immediate area after event
