Though opinions are many these days, there is one fact we can’t deny: being engaged in civic life matters now more than ever.Whether it’s through voting, serving on a jury, or understanding how to work with your government to address the problems you face as a business or nonprofit, it’s a crucial time to be involved. The Reno+Sparks Chamber, together with the National Judicial College, is pleased to invite its members and the public to attend Civics 101, a half-day workshop at the Chamber, being held on August 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Participants of Civics 101 can expect to gain a renewed understanding of how government works, a fresh perspective on ways they can work with government to achieve their organizational goals and meet needs, and a commitment to exercise civic duty through voting and other responsibilities.
