If I had to make a list of the annual events that make Vine & Table what we are one of the first things to come to mind (after our Whiskey & Fine Spirits Expo) would be Ardbeg Day. The day when Ardbeg shows off their annual committee bottling, and we gather in a celebration of all things peaty. Delays in shipment made us fret that this year would be the year of no Ardbeg Day but we say better late than never. We missed the official date but have decided that the show must go on so we are hosting a "post" Ardbeg Day celebration. This year’s celebration will center on the release of Ardcore, a celebration of all things punk, made with roasted black malt that is “incinerated to hair-raising levels.” It’s the first usage of black malt by the distillery. While Ardbeg is ironically connected to peat, this expression shows what the distillery can do when its smokier qualities come from a different source. A fun change of pace from a distillery that’s always innovating. Come join from 12-3pm on Saturday, July 30th to sample this newest offering, reacquaint yourself with the entire Ardbeg line, sip the now traditional Bloody Ardbeg, and just have an all-around great time. The event is free but please register so we can ensure there is enough Scotch to go around. After all, running out of supplies would really make us punks!
