We invite you to join us at the 8 Rivers Rally as we avoid the August heat. If you aren't going to Sturgis come ride & explore the cooler WV Highlands. This event will not be your typical rally. It is a RIDING RALLY. There will be nightly entertainment and adult beverages available on their brand new patio. Pocahontas County is known as the birthplace of rivers and has the highest average elevation of all eastern U.S. counties. No water flows into the county; instead, eight rivers originate—the Cranberry, Cherry, Elk, Gauley, Greenbrier, Tygart, Williams, and Shaver's Fork of Cheat River. The Marlinton Motor Inn will be your base for the weekend: -Self led rides designed by Backroads WV -Live music each night! -Bar will open in the late afternoon -Food vendors -50/50 raffle - to benefit the Lindsey Raines Memorial Scholarship Fund. Many thanks to Cole Harley Davidson for supplying some prizes! Other area activities taking place in the area: -Cherry River Festival in Richwood- includes WV Hellbender bike show & parade and Treasure on the Mountain (Saturday at Snowshoe) GATE FEES: $40 - weekend pass (per person) $30 - daily rate (per person) BAND LINEUP --> Thursday: Midnight Traffic(8-11 pm) --> Friday: George Dorne Band (6-9 pm)and Ain't Dead Yet (9-12 am) --> Saturday: Untrained Professionals (6-8 pm & 10-midnight) and Davisson Brothers Band (8-10 pm) This event is for 21 & older.
