Families in Newport News are invited to attend IMPACT 2022, the annual back to school event, August 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is a free event for students K-12 and their families to assist with getting essential items for the upcoming school year. This year’s event will be in person and take place at Brittingham-Midtown Community Center. Supplies are limited, and pre-registration is available for a limited time. Attendees will pick up a free backpack stuffed with school supplies and more. Come and enjoy a day filled with fun, food, and music! Children (K-12) must be present with an adult to receive backpacks and school supplies *Supplies are limited* DONATE If you would like to help meet the needs of many of the children in the community, please feel free to drop off backpacks and any school supplies at Rouse Tower, 6060 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or call 757.926.6472.
